The missionaries asked if they could come over and share a short message with us on Thursday October 16th and we consented. Since Elder Bethea completed his mission, Elder Watson was assigned a new companion. Elder Watson's new companion is Elder Fernelius and he just came out the the MTC.
The Elders showed us the new Good Samaritan video and shared with us some of the history of the story. They also related the story to our day, it was a very inspiring message.
My back has been really sore since the car accident and since we don't know many people in the ward I decided to ask the missionaries for a blessing. The elders asked who I wanted to do what and I asked if Elder Fernelius would administer the blessing (Andy and I had talked about this earlier in the day). You should have seen the look on his face, he was so nervous. He told us he had never given a blessing before. Andy and Elder Watson gave him some brief instructions and then he gave me a blessing. I truly believe in the power of the Priesthood and am grateful that I can be administered to in times of need.
